Cancellation Policy

The following information forms the cancellation policy between the hirer (you/whoever places the booking via our website) and Dancing Cubs Ltd. For further information, please contact us. This applies to all our items, including bouncy castles, soft play sets and more.

Refunds on cancellations

We do not provide refunds on cancellations.

In instances of poor weather conditions, when notice of intent to cancel is given within more than 48 hours we will transfer your hire to another date, subject to availability.

A detailed explanation of the deposit (‘Refundable Deposit‘).

When you place a booking online, you’ll be asked to pay a deposit, also referred to as a refundable deposit. This payment is to confirm you’d definitely like to go ahead with your hire and secure a slot on one of our vans. It does not mean that any deposit you pay is refundable if you change your mind or need to cancel.

To clarify, this initial deposit payment is not refundable if you change your mind or want to cancel the hire. The term ‘refundable’ is used as most people who place a booking online go ahead with their hire, in which case the £50 paid at the booking stage then acts as a damage/conditions of hire deposit in addition to the total hire cost.

In extreme circumstances, if a deposit is required to be refunded (severe illness etc) if we do agree to refund if you can no longer go ahead with the hire a £30 administrative fee applies.

If your hire is in a venue or site where you have set access times (e.g. a hall) please don’t pay a deposit when you book. Your booking form will still come through to us. Once we’ve checked that we have a van available to deliver and collect at the times you require we’ll be able to send you a secure link/invoice to pay the deposit. We always aim to let you know if we can fulfil your hire on the same day that we receive the booking form.

If your event is delayed or postponed on the day, we will fulfil the hire as per original delivery and collection times we had agreed to, as the vans would have been organised weeks in advance. We always do our best for our customers so if your event is postponed or delayed on the day we'll do our best to help you subject to van availability.

Rescheduling

If you need to swap dates, we can transfer your chosen hire equipment to any other preferred date subject to availability. However, in some instances your chosen play equipment may have already been reserved by another business or member of the public on your new preferred date, and existing bookings will take priority, or we may be fully booked or have no delivery vans available. In these situation, we will discuss alternative options with you. If we are unable to agree an alternative date, the £30 administrative fee applies to any payments made.

Transferring equipment to a new date will only be possible if we have been informed of your intent to switch dates with more than 36 hours (3 days) notice. After this point, rescheduling will be unavailable.

If your chosen play equipment is unavailable on the date of your event (damage from a previous hire, theft or unable to access from previous hire), we will suggest alternative pieces of similar value or content. If this is unsuitable or unacceptable, we will reschedule your event for a new hire date within the same calendar year.

Please note that date transfers cannot be done more than twice.
