Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel due to poor weather, please read our Weather Specific Cancellation Policy.
Given the nature of our play equipment bookings, including seasonal demand, equipment popularity, administrative costs, pre-hire logistical arrangements (such as driver scheduling and vehicle organisation), unpredictability of the weather and and the high likelihood of lost revenue after confirmation, our cancellation policy is as follows:
Cancellation by the Hirer

More than 14 days before the event: You will receive a full refund of your total hire fee, minus a £50 non-refundable administrative fee to cover initial booking and processing costs.
- 14 to 7 days before the event: You will receive a 50% refund of your total hire fee. The remaining 50% is a non-refundable cancellation fee.
- Less than 7 days before the event: No refund will be provided for the hire fee. The £50 deposit will be refunded in full.
- Refusal of delivery: If you refuse delivery or are unable to provide a suitable space for the equipment upon our arrival, no refund will be provided.
- Underutilized equipment: No refunds will be provided for delivered equipment that is not fully utilized on the event date.
Cancellation Outside of Either Party's Control (Force Majeure)
'Force Majeure' refers to extraordinary events or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of either Dancing Cubs Ltd or the Hirer, making it impossible, illegal, or significantly unsafe to proceed with the booking.
Such events include, but are not limited to:
- Severe weather warnings from official sources (e.g., amber or red alerts issued by the Met Office).
- Natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, floods).
- Government-imposed restrictions on gatherings or travel (e.g., mandatory lockdowns).
- Widespread public health emergencies resulting in official declarations or restrictions by relevant authorities (e.g., pandemics, mandatory lockdowns, or travel bans).
In the event of a Force Majeure, and subject to a £50 non-refundable administrative fee, we will offer you the choice to either:
- Postpone the booking to an alternative date within 12 months (subject to availability).
- Receive a refund of payments made, minus the £50 administrative fee.
